Why my revised books are better choice to read than the other “as is re-printed” public domain books available?

BECAUSE I DO NOT OFFER THEM AS IS PUBLIC DOMAIN TEXT AS THEY ALREADY WERE. I ALMOST REWRITE THEM.

I use shorter sentences.

I use modern verbs and terms instead of archaic original wording or, if I choose to keep the original, I explain the meaning to the reader.

I updated almost all measures from old to new the best I could verify (i.e. Grain to milligram). I say almost because, sometimes the measures were so old in prescription with some Greek/Latin notations, then I was not sure what to do and I did not touch them. But still informed you about my best guess.

I updated how remedy names written because while neither of them wrong, today we have a more standardized list of names across our books and software and sometimes it was written different way in our old master’s books. I verified them with the current names that appear in Complete Dynamics software.

Burnett was a well-educated man. He did love to use Latin and French phrases. So far, all the English new prints, never touched them, but I did. Now the script is 100% English, ready to understand all these parts without a dictionary.

When I do all the editing, I have used US English vocabulary and grammar set. I know this is an upset issue for especially British users and considering Burnett was British, too. But I insist this version is much simpler to read free from “ae” and “ou” words, ie, tumor instead of tumour.

I want my books to be understood easily even by non-doctors. So, with a very few exceptions about some surgical procedures unrelated to homeopathy, I provided lay man explanations for medical terms, even if they are new terms.

Lastly, whenever I am not so sure about what Burnett really talks about, I asked AI to explain me. Now, dear friends, AI can make very simple mistakes, too. For example, when Burnett said “I threatened my patient that I would throw out his case.” AI translated it as “I will vomit the bag.” But, especially from old English to new English, it helped me a lot for much better understanding of the medicine at that time and I used that insight in the book. Since the original text is now copyright free, I also felt free to make such modifications in favor of better understanding him. So, yes, when you compare my text with simple re-prints, sometimes you will find the words or sentences in different wording or styling. Where I feel the need, I relocated some paragraphs, too.

But, if any addition belongs to me and not part of the original book, then I wrote those parts in different type (italic) so that you can easily distinguish the difference.

Lastly, I am not just an editor or translator with some language skills. I am a trained homeopath myself. Which allows me to understand what I am editing/translating much better. Also, in my more recent work, I take advantage of AI clarification for even better work.
